Course Description
Our part-time Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing will provide you with further skills and insights into this industry.
Our Plumbing students have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. You will use our unique workshop
equipped with state-of-the-art tools and facilities to develop a range of skills.
Please note that this is a part-time course and you must be aged 19+ to apply.
What will I learn on the course?
Guided by our expert lecturers you will develop your skills in domestic hot and cold water installations and gain a wider knowledge
of central heating systems.
Through practical and theoretical learning you will find out more about the electrical principles, as well as a focus on the
implementation of drainage systems. You will cover modules including:
- Health and Safety
- Common Plumbing Processes
- Domestic Cold Water
- Domestic Hot Water
- Electrical Principles
- Scientific Principles
- Sanitation
- Communication within BSE
- Central Heating
- Drainage
What does a typical week look like?
This course will take place on a Monday and Wednesday, starting at 6pm and finishing at 9pm.
The course will start on Monday 15 September 2025
Where can it lead to?
This diploma will give you the chance to progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies, an apprenticeship, full-time
employment in the industry as a plumber or set up as a sole trader (self-employed) in the sector.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
You must be over the age of 19 to apply for this course.
GCSE grade 4/5 or C in English & Maths or a Level 1 in a trade related subject.
Alternatively, we may be able to consider your application on the basis of previous experience.
You will be contacted after applying for clarification of entry requirements, you will need to evidence achievement of a GCSE grade
4/5 or C, if you are unable to evidence your grades you may be asked to complete an initial assessment.
