Course Description
The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively install domestic electric vehicle (EV) charging units.
The programme covers a comprehensive understanding of the key requirements and regulations relevant to electric vehicle charging equipment. This includes an in-depth exploration of different types of charging equipment, their appropriate applications, and the considerations that must be taken into account to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
In addition, learners will gain the ability to design EV charger installations tailored to specific domestic environments, ensuring optimal performance and user safety. The qualification also provides detailed instruction on inspecting, testing, commissioning, and maintaining EV charging installations, empowering participants to deliver reliable and professional services that meet current and future demands of the growing electric vehicle sector.

Refund Policy
7. CANCELLATION
7.1 The Customer may cancel Public Training on 30 calendar days’ notice to NCC.
Cancellations must be provided in writing to the NCC Business Development Executive and
Commercial@NCClondon.ac.uk Public Training may not be cancelled or rescheduled within
30 days of the start date of the Public Training.
7.2 The Customer may cancel In-House Training on 45 calendar days’ notice to NCC.
Cancellations must be provided in writing to the NCC Business Development Executive and
Commercial@NCClondon.ac.uk . In-House Training may not be cancelled or rescheduled
within 45 days of the start date of the In-House Training.
7.3 Non-classroom-based Training may not be cancelled or rescheduled under any
circumstances and Charges for non-classroom-based Training are therefore non-refundable.
7.4 Training may only be cancelled by the Customer in accordance with this clause 7. If a
Customer or Delegates fail to attend all or part of any Training, full payment of the Charges
shall be required.
7.5 If a refund is approved by NCC, it will be made through the original mode of payment
only.
Specific Terms and Conditions
Delegates must already hold one of the following:
• 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
• 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
• 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
• 2356 Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
• 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
Prior to starting the course, delegates must provide the following:
• Copies of certificates for prior qualifications held
Delegates must bring the following things on day 1 of the course:
• Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation (IET Codes and Guidance) This is an essential requirement
• Passport size photographs (x2)
• Basic stationary (Pen, pencil, ruler)
• A calculator
